TraceCoder Upper Limb Function Assessment Training System
Tablet PC-based upper limb function coordination evaluation device
The trace recorder was developed to easily measure upper limb coordination assessment using a tablet PC. In the upper limb coordination assessment test, patients trace pre-printed geometric patterns, and their ability to replicate the original pattern is evaluated. Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) is very important in rehabilitation, allowing for the assessment and training of upper limb function in terms of dexterity and coordination. Research has shown that three elements are necessary when evaluating coordinated movements of the upper limbs: ● "Position Adjustment Function (Spacing)" - Line tracing test ● "Timing Adjustment Function (Timing)" - Dot chasing test ● "Force Adjustment Function (Grading)" - Center dot hitting test The measurement results are stored in a database, making it easy to retrieve, save, and view data for each subject or patient, and compared to paper management, objective quantitative evaluation is expected.
